Since the first time I found myself on Orion Software’s site, I have been a big fan of them!
I originally wound up there when I was a teenager, having imported my first Pocketstation. Orion Soft. was one of the few places with information on how to program games for the Pocketstation, so I dug in and learnt a bit. Never released anything, but had my fun fooling around.
When I moved onto GP32/GP2X/Pandora, I again got to see a few of Orion’s works surface for the systems. I’m glad to see someone who has given so much to the retro indie/homebrew scenes is once again working on a game for those retro systems we love!
Alice has seen adventure in Alice’s Mom’s Rescue before as a young child. Now she’s back, in a co-op (or single player switch mode) adventure, this time on the Genesis!
The above video was posted today by Orion, and gives an idea of the boss battles that he’s working on!
The Alice games by Orion have always been based around a size-changing mechanic. As one would imagine it’s based on, you guessed it, mushrooms!
This game builds upon those same mechanics while adding the co-op aspects into the mix. I’m excited to see what kind of puzzles and enemies there will be to face in this new branch of the Alice adventure!
